Social first marketing agency, Social Chain, has announced three new senior level hires.

The Manchester-based firm, which also has offices in London’s Soho, has appointed Neil Jones as Account Director and Rosie Potter as UK Talent Director, who both join from MediaCom North.

It has also hired Ben Harris as Sports Account Director, who joins from Omnicom’s PHD Manchester Media.

At Social Chain, Jones will be working largely in strategic partnership with some of Europe’s biggest brands to help them achieve their targets.

Whether that’s shifting awareness or consideration metrics, or using paid activation for conversion, he will be implementing creative but measurable outcomes for Social Chain’s many clients, the firm said.

Prior to joining Social Chain, Jones had been in the industry for about six years.

He had previously been Senior Account Manager at MediaCom North, and has worked across clients including Hillarys Group, National Tyres, CarFinance247 and Allianz.

On joining Social Chain, Jones said: “Joining Social Chain whilst the agency is in a period of growth was an easy decision.

“My experience is acquisition heavy, so it’s a great opportunity for me to increase my own knowledge of brand advertising whilst still bringing a degree of conversion to the conversation.

“It’s clear the passion for doing great work for clients is something everybody shares here and I think that’s a rare thing in the agency world these days.”

Rosie Potter joins Social Chain as UK Talent Director, and will be working closely within the group, helping create and define the talent strategy across the UK.

She will be communicating the variety of opportunities to join, grow and be part of a global family.

She has been involved in a number of diversity and inclusion projects, an interest which she takes with her to the Social Chain Group.

“I’m over the moon to have joined Social Chain Group, this opportunity to be part of their journey and be a part of their growing family is one I just couldn’t say no to”, Potter said.

He delivered an award-winning Commonwealth Games media activation for IRN-BRU and launched the Tunnel Club hospitality suite for Man City, ensuring a sell-out in the first year of launch.

On his hire, he said: “I am excited to be joining such an incredibly ambitious agency at the forefront of change in the social space.”
