Channel 4 has said it plans to host a special live programme focusing on the UK’s impending departure from the European Union.

Brexit Debate: A Very British Coup? will air on Monday 2 September at 7:30pm. The live, hour long programme will provide an analysis of the public mood ahead of Parliament returning the next day.

The debate will focus on key topics from a No Deal Brexit, Prorogation, to the impact recent political decisions have on our democracy and what it means for the British constitution.

The broadcaster said the debate’s panellists are yet to be confirmed, but the audience will consist of 100 people with a wide range of significant political views.

“The British public have clearly demonstrated their desire for involvement in these unprecedented political times”, Louisa Compton, Commissioning Editor News and Current Affairs said.
