Kevin Bacon returns as EE ad shows commuters viewing Bastille gig wearing Nreal glasses

EE has launched a new campaign showing commuters experiencing an impromptu gig by pop act Bastille via augmented reality Nreal glasses.

Created by Saatchi & Saatchi London, it will launch today during Love Island on ITV2 and is also running in cinemas and on VoD.

Long-time brand ambassador Kevin Bacon once again appears in the ads, which show commuters in London, Liverpool and Edinburgh as they experience Bastille’s gig at Birmingham’s New Street station in real time.

The spot was created by Kate Murphy, Marcus Pettersson, Cristiana Candido and Alice Marani, and directed by Henry Schofield through Caviar and Visualise.

It’s intended to show the power of 5G, which EE is rolling out across the UK.
