Famous footballer and now podcaster Peter Crouch takes centre stage in Carphone Warehouse’s newest advertising campaign, which aired on TVs during the Nations League Final on June 9th.

The mobile phone retailer’s ‘Switcheroo’ campaign encourages consumers to use them to help switch phones, and was created with the support of international advertising agency AMV BBDO. It will run on TVs for three weeks with supporting content on radio and digital audio.

Crouch has had a lot of experience swapping teams.

The 38-year-old has played for Queen’s Park Rangers, Aston Villa, Southampton FC, Portsmouth FC, Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City.

But even he, goes the concept behind the advert, needs help switching sometimes.

In the spot, Crouch says: “Having played for loads of different clubs in my career I thought I knew a thing or two about switching, but even I’ve learnt a little expert help is always needed.
