The row over the Christmas ad from fitness company Peloton is continuing, with a further $400 million knocked off the company’s value yesterday.

The fall brings the total lost since the aid aired on Tuesday to $1.5 billion.

The ad, called ‘The Gift That Gives Back’, shows a woman vlogging her experience with a Peloton bike she was gifted by her husband.

But the ad has been widely criticised on social media, with many users calling it sexist.

In a statement, Peloton said: “We constantly hear from our members how their lives have been meaningfully and positively impacted after purchasing or being gifted a Peloton bike.”
