Global fast food brand KFC has teamed up with Deliveroo in London to create a Christmas gift box campaign that will include giving hundreds of free lunch treats away this Thursday.
Free festive burgers
The public will be invited to come and take a snap with the larger than life gift box, which comes equipped with specially designed hatches for dishing out KFC’s new Festive Burger which is available for delivery exclusively by Deliveroo.
The huge box has been installed at a location on the River Thames in Central London near the Tate Modern.
The new Festive Burger is packed with a succulent Original Recipe fillet, a crispy hash brown, sage and onion stuffing mayo and topped with a tangy cranberry dressing and a layer of cheese.
Joe Groves at Deliveroo said “Deliveroo is a bit Christmas mad so when KFC came to us with this exclusive new menu item we knew it deserved something ridiculously festive to launch it to the Great British public and what says Christmas more than the gift of giving”.
Kate Wall, Secret Santa co-ordinator at KFC UK & Ireland said: “We know it’s not December 25th yet, but we wanted to make sure that we gave some die-hard KFC fans their first Christmas gift of the year.”
Sustainably sourced campaign material
The larger than life gift has been wrapped in over 500 sq ft of bespoke sustainably sourced and recyclable KFC wrapping paper and adorned with 60 ft of ribbon, “beats a Chocolate Orange in your stocking, eh?” KFC said.
Those not lucky enough to nab a free Festive Burger on the day can head to Deliveroo to try one for themselves, the limited edition item is available from KFC on Deliveroo until 1 January and is priced at £4.59, the Festive Burger Meal from £5.59 and the Festive Burger Box Meal from £6.89.
