Vaughan Jones, the current Head of Department for Corporate at Burnetts Solicitors LLP, has announced that he will be stepping down following a highly successful tenure. He led his team during transactions worth almost £200 million alone over the last two years.
Michael has been with Burnetts since 2015 and provides a full range of Corporate advice to businesses, specialising in M&A transactions. He is ranked as a “Leading Individual” in Legal 500, the only Cumbria-based Corporate lawyer to receive this accolade, and Chambers & Partners described him as having “outstanding commercial and legal acumen”.
Michael brings a fresh perspective to the role, with ambitions to build on the Corporate team’s reputation as lawyers of choice in Cumbria and Newcastle, having overseen many recent strategic transactions in these regions and having established himself as a trusted adviser to some of Cumbria and Newcastle’s largest companies, as well as to SMEs and leading entrepreneurs.
The role transition comes after a sustained period of success for the Corporate department.
