There are numerous other shopping facilities around the world where you can get trendy clothes, shoes, jewellery, bags, etc. Here is a list of eight of the biggest, most popular shopping malls in the world.

1)    Cevahir Mall, Istanbul

Located in the Sisli district, the Cevahir is the largest shopping mall in Europe. It covers 3.47 million sq ft with a total of 48 restaurants and more than 300 shops, which occupy six storeys. It also has 12 cinema halls, a roller coaster, and a bowling alley. There is a huge centre stage where different types of events are often hosted.

2)    Dubai Mall, Dubai

Dubai is considered as the globe’s glamour capital because of its enchanting beauty. Based on area, Dubai Mall is the largest in the world measuring more than 12 million sq ft; it’s bigger than 50 football fields. Dubai Mall comprises of 1,200 shops, 120 restaurants, a five-star hotel, 20 cinema halls, and a gaming centre.

3)    West Edmonton, Alberta

Located in Alberta, the West Edmonton is the largest shopping mall in North America. The complex has more than 800 shops, 100 restaurants, an adventure golf course, and an ice palace. The World Waterpark and Galaxyland are the main highlights of the mall.

4)    King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Opened in 1963 and covering more than 3 million sq ft, the King of Prussia is currently the largest shopping mall in the U.S. When it was first constructed, it comprised of two separate buildings, but they have now been connected. There are plenty of luxury retailers in the mall such as Bloomingdales, Macy’s, and Nordstrom.  

5)    New South China, Dongguan

The mall is located on the outskirts of Beijing, and it’s mostly empty because of its inaccessibility. Surprisingly, only less than 1% of the mall’s space was being used for the first decade after its launch in 2005. It’s a bit livelier today; the mall has a theme park and an IMAX cinema hall.

6)    Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

This mall consists of a twin tower building that has more than 1,000 shops and 65 restaurants. The Berjaya Times Square mall also has an indoor theme park (which is the largest in Asia) and IMAX cinema halls.

7)    Central World Mall, Bangkok

Thailand is a great shopping destination, and the Central World mall is the largest in the country. Branding itself as a middle-class shopping mall, it has been receiving lots of traffic than its neighbouring competitor the Siam Paragon. Eighty percent of the mall’s space is in use, but it was raged by fire for two days on 19th May 2017 due to anti-government protests.   

8)    SM Megamall, Metro Manila

The SM Megamall has two main buildings: Building A has restaurants, a bowling alley, the Toy Kingdom store, and cinema halls while Building B has the shops. Attracting close to a million people daily, this mall is amongst the largest in the country.
